L'élection présidentielle de 2017

François Hollande is not running again, a first under the Fifth Republic. François Fillon, winner of the right's primary, is weakened by a judicial investigation into the employment of his family members. Emmanuel Macron, a former Minister of the Economy, runs outside the traditional parties with En marche!. Four candidates are within less than five points of each other in the first round. Emmanuel Macron defeats Marine Le Pen in the second round and becomes, at 39, the youngest President of the Republic.
